This auction is over.

All bids cancelled.

The surgery is covered but not everything else. This money will help us financially for the next couple of months. My wife won't work, I am going to work a lot less. The medications, the travel expenses and the support of our kid is going to take a lot of resources. Everyone seems to believe I am a millionaire but we are not. If I didn't need this money for my son, I wouldn't let this continue.

I don't think thats up to us to pay for. I totally understood your first post about needing money when you thought your kid was gonna get a really expensive surgery in another country. I understood how people donated money for that...ofcourse.

But medications, travel expenses etc...do you need donations for that? I mean, you need to the money but in this way? What happened to family, loans, banks etc. like every normal person does it?

His son has cancer! So what if the medical cost are going to be covered? Do you have a clue how much it costs to travel back and forth between doctors and hospitals, how much money they are going to lose by taking time off from work to spend with their son? No, I didn't think so!!

I know from experience. My family lost everything when my dad had his brain tumors. While he was laying in bed dying, the rest of us were trying to figure out how we were going to keep the house, car, utilities, and have something to eat. Yeah, that was a real pleasant time in our lives!

So to all of you haters that keep kicking NoCarrier while he's down...GO FUCK YOURSELF! You all are a bunch of cock suckers.

This is why they invented savings and insurance. Many people face hardships in their lives. In fact, most people do. I do not see the urgent need for you to receive >$16000 in charity. I hate to call this a bait-and-switch but that's what it seems like. I could understand if you had to go to the US for treatment, but contrary to popular belief, we have very competent doctors in Canada. I myself have donated over $5000 to Sick Kids in Toronto since 2000.

i can understand that some people find NoCarriers need of donations a joke since his son doesn't seem to have the problem like the doctor told him at the very beginning. What I can't understand is that people are raising the question why should us webmasters help a brother in need.
Making it look like the son is ok now and NoCarrier doesn't need any help at all.

I personally couldn't donate cuz i've lost my job (from today), i just bought a new house and my gf is pregnant with my son which is due to pop out in december. What i could do is, is change my sig and also help out in the auction so we can raise more money. You could do the same as well and wouldn't even cost you a dime.

The only thing that crossed my mind by doing all of this was...how can we help a brother in need. I don't know NoCarrier at all (until this all happened i never heard of him) but i'm sure it had to take a lot of guts and cahones to come on this board asking for a donations from his close friends.

What i would like to say to these webmasters, that don't see the bigger picture is: Stop posting about somebody like it his fault or that he should've had insurances etc...maybe NoCarrier is insured but the operation aint covered or any of the other reasons that he may need the money for.

Frank, not every country works like it does over here in The Netherlands.
