Yes crack should be decriminalized. So should marijuana, heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine, LSD, mushrooms, opium, and every other fucking drug on this little blue planet.

There are laws in place that punish you for that as well. Drive while fucked up and hurt someone or something, again laws for that. Only new law we would need is selling someone bad shit that is not what it is supposed to be.

The coffee is too hot people, they deal with the lawyers and corperations, etc... there should be a common sense clause built into personal injury lawsuits. If a common sense would tell you not to do something then the case gets kicked out. Common sense tells you to be carefull with coffee because it is hot, if you can't drive without spilling on yourself then don't get it through the drive thru. Shouldn't matter if there was no warning label on it or if it was 120 deg vs 110 deg etc...

As far as the smoking. The problem i have with that is all of these people who smoke that don't have health insurance end up in the hospitol and us the tax payers pay for their bad habits.

If they were to sign a waiver that they would pay for the medical problem caused by smoking I would care less if they want to kill themselves or not.

I don't have as much of an issue with food. Food is a necessity, some foods are worse then others but where would you draw the line. Impossible. Some people genitically can eat as much bad food as they want and never get fat or have heart problems. There are no good cigarettes, cigarettes are not a necessity of living, cigarettes harm in one way or another just about everyone who uses them.

What about I smoke, I pay several bucks in taxes to do so. So in effect I am addicted to paying this tax. Why can not these taxes just be used for the issue you have a problem with. These taxes could end up in a managed fund that covers medical costs for the uninsured smokers.

In the same vein though, people fuck and have kids. Those kids go to schools, get medical coverage if uninsured, and everything else. Yet I pay for it and I never had a kid.

There are many things that are not a necessity of living. Almost everything around us really is not a necessity of living. Why should we place them into little organized groups of this one is bad for you and there is no good one and this one is ok. There is no good pollution yet there is acceptable levels of pollution, it harms everyone in one way or another.
