no it isn't, a lot of charities spend more money on fundraising and administration than on actual charity. There's a lot of tings you can do to make it look like administrative costs are something they aren't, like 'equipment', why do so many aid workers in Africa drive brand new land rovers? those cars are fucking expensive, plus they last for bloody decades, seems most of them get new ones every couple of years for some reason...

Besides, my point is if people want to give money to NoCarrier they should, he is a part of the community, so what if people that can afford it want to donate a little something? Mind your own fucking business I say

Boy Alley, no one should fault you for getting involved or not getting involved. Choosing a cause is up to the individual and shame on anyone who gave you shit.

Donations are made for a variety of reasons.

I'd be very relieved if it were not a glioma....for me, however, I can relate as I have a son, so it touched something inside of me. Perhaps No Carrier will use my small donation to buy Samuel a teddy bear for being such a good boy as the medical community pokes and prods him...

But, no one has the right to judge the whys of giving. And, it pains me to hear that anyone said anything to you, Boy Alley.
