Did Playboy buy Sex.com?

From the look of their galleries page, all galleries are Adult.com hosted galleries (http://www.sex.com/tgp/). From the look of the links on the top of the page, links to SpiceTV, ClubJenna, and SpiceVideo. Their 2257's (http://www.sex.com/2257.html) are to Spice and Adult.com. Seems to me Playboy bought it or is spending a huge amount of money buying every spot possible. Was any anouncement made about this?

I was bored, so I bought it and stuck those silly links on there until I figure out what to do with the domain.

I'm torn between making it an educational site or simply pimping it out by catering to the lowest common denominator. Maybe I'll just hold onto it and then sell it for a small mint when the time is right.

Sometimes being so rich is such a curse...

WG, I cant comment yet, but the official announcement of whats going on with sex.com will be out some time around 10th of Oct. You need to wait until then :-).

I get the impression that investment group (escom) sold it (at a premium) to Playboy. Just my impression though... purely speculation here.

Escom bought sex.com from Garry Jan 17th, but for how much , who owns it now, who runs the site, who works......cant talk much about that :-)

The Legal Notices page seems to have "Playboy" written all over it:
