Me and the misses were watching that, When she said she wanted to become a singer I laughed but my misses said "I bet she has a good voice" and I laughed again. There are like 20 versions of that on the first 5 pages of Youtube so it seems to have really struck a nerve.
I guess it says something about our culture when we are all shocked when someone who is unattractive actually has talent. I guess the assumption is that only good looking people have any talent or skills. Yet we all bitch about pop stars who just look hot but have no talent. SO ...here I was waiting for that old woman's head to start rotating 360 degrees and start puking on the judges but what happened next was totally uncalled for... it killed the whole vibe/climax I was shooting for.....
