always do a first date as something simple, why waste the time and effort plus money on a girl that u may realize after 5 mins, u have no interest in....make plans for a second date if u r interested and u can step up the effort. i have found that girls love it when i attempt to cook them something, and i usually cook something thats not common and tell them to surprise me with dessert....if she is into u, dessert will be good, trust me...it works...

What sort of fun things do you have out there? Hotair balloon? Helicopter ride? Those sorts of things are pretty neat and different. I'm a pretty simple date, I went to a hockey game on my first date w/my now boyfriend and I took him.

calgary overall can be boring as fuck unless you are hitting up the clubs nightly.

Yeah first dates usually suck in the way that the dinner thing can get redundant...However, if you can have a nice conversation over some good food and a nice bottle of wine...I guess that's the one true way of finding out if your date is conversation worthy lol. Find a fun resturant, like a brazilian theme (if you both are meat eaters, you'll dig it) Good luck and have fun!!

wow, thats a bit harsh, maybe i didnt make mysef clear...i do it many times, with friends, dates, alone...i have been volunteering since i was in high school...being 28 yrs old now, i dont have as much time as i use to but i still volunteer. everyone i introduce to it, has kept up the volunteering atleast once or twice a year. at the end, u will feel great that u can make a difference. the peops in these shelters feel so great to have conversations about life, sports, politics with you when you volunteer. i simply stated that when i brought a girl on a date there, she was so impressed and it lead to hooking up...its not like we threw the pots and pans on the floor and went at it there...
