The Copyright Act doesn't make it legal for people to steal and profit from you, but it sure as hell doesn't protect you either.
Not exactly accurate, and 2257 can be used to stop others from stealing your content. If a site infringes on your copyright you can forgo a copyright claim and file an unfair business claim instead -- at least here in California.
