Not only did I have a lot of friends growing up who were street kids but I also did A LOT of community service.

I lived in Major cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, etc.

Wow community service. That does not mean you know a damn thing about being homeless. I did community service as well and so did every kid that went to my Catholic high school. You have no idea what happened to put a person on the street. It is easy to assume things. I highly doubt that most people that are homeless are involved in organized crime. A lot of the homeless are mentally ill and war veterans.
