lol for about 80% of America right now it is. Maybe not many of us on here but definitely for most working class people, I think its a pretty accurate drawing.

u misunderstood my comment, it incorrectly assumes homeless are debt free, many are not. why is it that just because someone is living on the street everyone assumes they have no debt/ their credit report is blank.

simply not the case.
lol so youre saying there are homeless people that still make credit card payments and shit? I highly doubt that dude.
I used to live on Whyte Ave in Edmonton a few years back. Occasionally I'd throw the odd bum some change, or a good busker would get some change. One day I was walking along with my roommate and this little street punk asks me for some change. I say I have none and he gives me this shithead look. So he asks me for a smoke, I say I have none as I am smoking one. So he throws up his skateboard like he's gonna stroke me with it. I straight booted that little fuck in the gut so hard he folded right in the middle of the sidewalk.
They do not keep that money they have a boss who collects the money.
Ya, they're called crack dealers
The people ARE homeless. It's not like a 9-5 where guys get into their streets rags Mon-Fri. There's a reason you see them on the street every day. I'd hardly call it organized...
Fucking retardation is running rampant in this thread...

Yah the retardation coming from you.
It basically is a 9-5 job for them.
What do you think would happen if it wasn't organized? People would be fighting over spots.
Just because YOU DONT KNOW doesn't make what i'm saying wrong.
Dumbass.

It's a well known fact and I have family members who are a major part of Covenant House being what it is today.
You will even notice this if you just watch them.
Also what i'm saying is based on major cities not homeless guys in small towns.
Interesting cartoon but cash flow and future income trajectory are also factors to consider.
Tell that to a guy who paid cash for a $70,000 car from pan-handling. Pan_Handlers have no debt and they make up to $300 per day looking sleezy and begging. This will happen every day they are willing to smell. Some pan-handlers make more money then drug dealers actually.
I once knew a kid when i was young, his mom was a heroin addict, she always had herion yet no job, she pan-handled every day and stole from welfare. Sadly in this day it pays more to be homeless and a drug addict then having a real job.
Do you guys live in small towns and have no experience with the homeless?
Cause what i'm saying is not news.
When I was 19 I was broke going into the summer, didn't have a job, didn't have much money. Me and a buddy decided to go on an adventure and hitchhike around the country. We went broke pretty fucking fast. We wound up begging for change, sleeping on park benches, ate at soup kitchens, slept in shelters. Picked up up day jobs as farm labor, done the fruitpicking circuit, camped out of mountainside mushrooms camps with fugitives. I know what the early lineup for Sunday morning free pancake breakfast at the Christian fellowship looks like. I've caught a train through the mountains with hobos, ran with packs of street kids and seen all sorts of crazy assed shit go down that you wouldn't believe if I bothered to type it up. I've talked to homeless from all different backgrounds. I still look back on that summer and loved every fucking moment of it. It's a humbling experience to know what it's like to live day to day with zero money to your name. I had a blast, and even though I could never go do it again, I'm glad I did.
I KNOW, YOU DON'T. Let's leave it at that. One day when you graduate from highschool with a whopping D average, I suggest you get out and see the world too...
You don't know a damned thing. You're obviously some 19 maybe 20 year old kid running around playing at being a big shot. Nobody buys it even for a second. Maybe it's time to move on for you? I suggest 4chan.

Listen you idiot.
A summer? get the fuck out of here.
Just because of your experience with the homeless does not mean in major cities the beggars are not organized. fuck.
Don't fucking assume shit. Me and my family have spent a lot of time working with the homeless..
Not only did I have a lot of friends growing up who were street kids but I also did A LOT of community service.
Yah I grew up privileged but i'm not ignorant.
I lived in Major cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, etc.
Just stfu. You are wrong.
Not only have I lived in major North American cities i've travelled A LOT and spent time in many 3rd world countries helping people.

Ok so there's junkies who are homeless because they are well, junkies. Just because the first thing they do once they got enough money is to run straight to the dealer and buy some crack/junk. Does not make it organized by any means. I've done Van, I did Montreal.
I don't doubt that there are a few enterprising dealers out there who have organized their clientele. But to say that this is what the homeless are organized crime gangs is wrong. It's like saying all the french are part of the gay community...
Just because of your experience "helping" the homeless and hearing what happens from outside the homeless community as a priveledged outsider, doesn't mean you know shit either. Go sleep under a bridge in a rain storm huddled around a fire with a bunch of worn out old bums sharing cans of cream corn some day and see what it's really like...

What does paying your debt have anything to do with HAVING or BEING in debt? I have known people who were in it up to their eyeballs and they weren't paying anything. So you're saying that debt miraculously vanishes if you stop paying it or walk away from it?
I don't think so... And last I checked there was no "Get Out Of Debt Free" card just because you end up on the streets.
So to say homeless people are debt free is pretty moronic.

So GFY.
Wow community service. That does not mean you know a damn thing about being homeless. I did community service as well and so did every kid that went to my Catholic high school. You have no idea what happened to put a person on the street. It is easy to assume things. I highly doubt that most people that are homeless are involved in organized crime. A lot of the homeless are mentally ill and war veterans.

This is true and does or has happened. I remember a big local news piece on it in LA. But to say or believe everyone who is begging for money is bringing that much in is pretty idiotic.

A FUCKLOAD OF THEM. Especially the longtime oldtimers, are completely bonkers. They were/are unable to provide for themselves, and had no support to keep them going, and that's where they wound up. In a world where everyone looks at you like a piece of shit, other homeless become the family. Groups will come together, travel the same areas, watch eachother's backs. Addiction is high too, but even junkies will group up with people of similiarinterests. In which case junk may be the only interest, and acquiring money to pay for said junk the aim of the day. I still think the statement "those bums that you see on the street in the same spot every day are part of organized crime is ridiculous.

Obviously not ALL homeless beggars are a part of the organized ring of things but if they are in key spots and always there it is most likely they are.
This is a FACT.
You spent a SUMMER hanging out with homeless dudes and you think you have a clue above me? come on.
I didn't just "hear" what happens I saw it every day.
And lets say I did "hear" You think it was all made up?
"Hey lets make people believe it's all organized."
No you idiot.
This thread is unbelievable really is. People who are completely wrong trying to insult me for my simple comment about thinking twice about giving homeless money.
All I'm saying is a lot of homeless who beg don't get to keep the money.
I think your ego is getting in the way of your eyes.
I know people that have known you for years.
You have no fucking clue who I am.
Wow, you know people that know me. You're really making headway now.
If you knew me that well you'd know how little I think of anyone that hides behind an unknown nick on the Internet. You want to have a conversation on the level about me or people that know me, then man up and out with a name already. Anything else is just cowardly.

Its sounds like you bought into a tall tale that some drunken bum told you about a super secret society of panhandlers that spread out across the globe and beg for money, only to immediately turn it in every night to their "panhandler pimp", that in turn gives it to their Illuminati masters.
I can assure you I have more experience dealing with these types of people than you could ever imagine. The porn stores and strip clubs I ran, in major cities all across the US, were almost always located next to some violent ghetto or horribly blighted area. Numerous times throughout the day I had to chase off panhandlers from our parking lots, and when they did get money off our customers they immediately made a beeline to the liquor store across the street, or back to the ghetto next door to buy crack. No conspiracies, no organized gangs, just liquor and crack...

I don't care. You're a bitch.
