How much are full page interstitials worth?

I have a small tube site, doing about 5K-8K/day. I just had an advertiser ask about placing a full page interstitial (a full page ad overlaying the site, with a "skip this ad' button in the top right) on the site.

But, I've got no idea what a fair price is? I was going to ask about $6/1000 views (that's about 2-3x as much as popunders go for). Is that about right? Too much? Too little? Any freakin' idea?

So, $1/K to $10/K; that's quite the range!

BTW, this is a legal tube with sponsor provided vids, so no need for the "tube haters" here.

What can you get thru sites like adbrite (or whatever they're called now) for the same sort of thing on sites with similar traffic and content... That's where I'd look as that would be the "competition"

                Set up 10 in rotation @ $50/mo/ea.

I don't know how many return visitors you have, but factor into your equation that you will lose a lot of them with that ad technique. I know it's easy to skip them but they are really hated.

Yeah, I lookad that. It's not clear what you get as a publisher, as advertisers use a bid/auction system, with the suggested maximum of $10/K. But, realistically, the value has to be less than that; just how much less is the question.

I guess I've sort of answered my own question; I'm going to go for around $5-$6/K, and see where it goes.

There's only one advertiser, so that won't work.

Yeah, thought about that; but most visitors are first timers; returns are pretty low.
