    Starting a gambling site.. Requirements?

    I assume I will need a gambling license, where to get that.. No idea.

    I personally reside in the united states / california.

    What are the legalitys of setting up a online gambling site, and what data is required to allow someone to play?

      your gonna need to get outta the USA for gambling.

      host your servers overseas, get an offshore merchant account, etc.

      its a heavy startup cost.

                  no offense madawgz... but when it comes to a big money business like gambling, you would be the last person i would contact to set up a gambling site...

                          You need the following:

                          A PC.
                          A webcam.
                          Streaming software.
                          Server space.
                          A domain name like chickenshitwagers.com
                          A vinyl mat with squares that are numbers.
                          A small fence to surround the vinyl mat.
                          A few chickens.
                          A paypal account.
                          A charity.

                          You have people place bets on which number the chicken will shit on. You then turn on the webcam and release the chicken. Whomevers number gets the majority of the shit wins.

                          You then donate like 10% or the industry standard to some charity.
                          Quickly pick out your new car and house, you will be able to pay cash for it in weeks.

                              What exactly constitutes gambling?
                              Is there a definition where perhaps I could be put into something other than gambling?
                              For example, betting on a horse race is gambling, Obviously.

                              But would betting on your own skill be considered gambling?
                              For example, What if I set something up where it was a game you played with others, and whoever won, got the other peoples money, minus a fee for the 'house' ?
                              Meaning it was skill based vs. pure luck mixed with skill
