Hello, i offer my Searchengine + Script with the Source Code for Sale.
The Searchengine is written in Perl, so you will need Perl and Berkley DB to run this at your Server, thats all needed. Eventually PHP for maintaining an Archive of Search Terms. I am running on an Single Server with an 3 GHZ Processor and Raid 1 Harddisk Array. Some Details about the Performance. You will need about 60 GB of Harddisk Space for 2500000 Websites to store. This is including all Space needed to have the Pages searchable. This is compressable to around 50 GB, but i will have to test on this if it is slowing down the Search Results return. With the Reiser FS File System you have an theoretical Limit of 1000000000000 Websites you may Store on one Computer. This certainly wont be reached on one Computer first but not least due to not beeing able to plug that many Harddisks. I have proven Results of 10000 Websites visited and sorted into the Database in one Hour. This certainly depends on your Line and Hardware. For my Side its all Standard Hardware and a shared Line at an Server Farm. The theoretical Peak is around 20000 Websites in one Hour, this is not proven. I cant tell much, how the Script will behave once reached higher Numbers of stored Pages but it seems to level in Linear Progress. The Search returns the first Pages which are mostly frequented by Visitors, for common Querys like " free Games ", in one Second. Unusual Querys may last very long, but it will get better once the Database fills. It would be best to spread the Search Process on several Servers, but this is still on the TODO List, but could be done in an fairly easy Way. All this Numbers certainly depend on the Load the Server is working under. This Script including the Source Code i would like to sell for $250000 or above. There are also two Domains included, amidalla.com plus amidalla.de. amidalla.de is an PR4 Site with 200 - 1000 Pageviews a Day. This certainly wont match up the Sales Price but the Domains are good for ongoing Workout as i have around 1000 Website Submissions a Day.
