ICANN FUCKING ASSHOLES have deleted one of my main sites

I can't believe it - some asshole (of course competitor) has reported one of my main earning websites to icann because I put false information in the admin entries (to stop email spammers scraping and bombarding me with shite) who have effingwell DELETED IT &*(^&*%^(*&^&(*.

It's not even at my registrar anymore. WTF gives them the right to do that? I paid for the damn site 5 years ago.

    Be warned.

FUCK I AM PISSED OFF to say the least.

How do I get the site back?

    FUCK.

One of the terms of having an domain is that you keep your registration information up to date and accurate...it's right in the ICANN terms...if you didn't want spammers you should have spent the extra 10 bucks to get a private registration....anyways the guy who turned you in is a real fucking asshole!

Email ICANN or your registrar explain the situation and offer updated contact info. Easiest way to filter spam is setup the email you're using for contact info to auto-reply with your valid email. Spammers rarely send from a valid account and thus will never see the reply, but people who do need or want to get in touch with you will see your actual addy. Good luck!

if it was just the email, which was wrong, then its probably too much for them to delete it.

and moreover I think registrar is supposed to send you a email requesting for updating your info before going ahead and deleting the domain. I recieved one from my registrar

Thanks folks. Have had a response from my registrar and had to send across photo id and proof of address, plus correct all domains. Should hopefully get them back - yes, a competitor has snitched on several

Karma's a bitch, they will soon realise.

                    Bunch of bureaucratic assholes.

Let me ask you this, how did they verify that you entries were wrong before they nuked the domain? I mean, it can't just be a competitor e-mailing them something.

Here's the way to do it.

Just go to allwhois.com checking all higher ranking sites than yours, and any which have what look like false email or postal addresses, grass them up to icann (that's if the domain hasn't been registered privately). If the registrar you use is a complete piece of shit and don't email you or phone you, then the site is removed.

Hey, I managed to post without swearing. Must be calming down.

Why didn't you just use a registrar that will hide your email address?

These sites were registered 4-5 years ago, and that wasn't an option then. They STILL don't offer private registration, so I've canned them.

BTW - got the sites back in my stable where they belong, thank f*ck for that.

CS, I am glad that you got your domains where they should be, and I agree that you should go with a registrar that offers you the option to put privacy on it. I agree with SAC that the best way to go about it is to keep accurate information and then add privacy, although $10 is quite a bit more than what I charge to my customers for the privacy feature. If I can help on this let me know!
