Life on Vanuato is like any other island society... it is not all bliss and total happiness, etc. etc.
As opposed to our "other" meat which is Taco Bell when Rotten Ronnies is too lined up. I suppose that's not the norm though, just once in a while when we feel like celebrating a shorter than usual 55 hour work week.

In Qutar the folks are only happy because they think every western chick moving there is a hooker...

I'm in the UK and I'm happy. I'm a greedy fuck but I'm happy. Trees and wildlife as nice as it is just couldn't please me forever... I'd suck at fishing and farming too...

I am living in one of the formentioned countries after too many years in the USA. I can assure you that life is better here with a lot less than it is in the US with it's rampant materialism. Spend yourself to death working on a treadmill or have some quality time with oyur family and friends and a few fewer toys.

If you compare Europe and SouthAmerica, the last is winning in quantity of nice people. May be they do not look nice in the way you would think - face, clothes. But they are kind, happy, may be sometimes too slow for us, but still very nice people.

Seems to be the same from other industrialized countries as well as the US. Dunno how many visitors arrived here and... give them two days and they are blown away by the laid back lifestyle. They loved it. Next is.. give them a week and the stress starts to show when they realise they have to go back to "civilized world" and the pressure.

Had took people who almost went into "break down" mode - they were highly active and under pressure normally. When that stopped, - it made them aware of the pressure and they kinda cracked up. Sure ain't a healthy lifestyle for some in "civilized world".
