Thats pretty funny, I'm building a straight leg shovelhead chopper with that same look. Got my everyday rider, my first sportster, and a nice bar hopper.Comment

That pic reminds me of Van Damme's movie Nowhere to Run. I just saw the film last night and the bike chase scene was awesome!

OK .. I bought it today .. The bikes nice .. the guy who owned chopped that seat down from a two seater to the small one it has now .. runs great
the straight bar is a bit weird for a first bike .the turns are a stretch ..
here's how the first ride went down ... he dropped the bike off for me at the house. after he Left i strapped on the helmet and rolled down the driveway. popped it onto first and took off slowly shifted to 2nd and then made a slow wide left down the side street .. at that moment i realized that I had 450lb of metal under me and really had very little knowledge of how to ride it .. I think the strangest thing was knowing what gear i was in. I came to a stop sign and wasn't sure if i was in 1st .. had to find neutral and then go 1st .. stalled it 2 times ( i think i was nerves ) I have a fear of popping the clutch and this thing just jumping away .. I think i need to get the feel for it .. I just know that a little mistake can really fuck me up or someone else ..
I have a buddy that rides coming over this week to go over a few things and then I'm going to take a course ..
wish me good luck and health ..

I was going to mention something about the handlebars when I first saw the pic. It seems as if you figured it out already. You might want to pick up a different style. Nothing fancy just something with a little more height and a little more pullback. $40 or $50 should more than take care of it. Take it easy and get really comfortable with it before you go anywhere with any type of traffic at all. Somebody suggested a vacant industrial park. That sounds like a good idea.Comment
