This has been being phased in for awhile now and my sales have not suffered so perhaps you should consider it isn't as bad as you think?
Also they have already set it up so you get credit for AFF sales if you input your id in krawl which imo they didn't have to do but really is a cool option.Comment

I think it's more of putting trust into regular surfers...
For example, you've been actively using PH for years as a surfer, liked it because there was very minimal bad links with shit programs and virus'. Sure you could report them and they probably got removed quickly, but now the new systems in, and you notice you get the same galleries, just in the trusted PH format, meaning you won't get fucked over... You buy more.
Just an FYI, he's in it for profit, not making sure a surfer gets off... So obviously he's gonna do what makes him more... You would too.Comment

He can discriminate against dialers, spyware and pretty much any gallery style he doesn't like. This is over the top. Let me ask you this:
What if I took your gallery, I hotlink the movies, the preview images. I put a tiny little unappealing text link to you sponsor at the bottom of the page just above my huge teasing ad images? Then I submit it to an MGP. Would you be o.k. with that?

to get some free hosting from an affiliate program, then that affiliate program ain't worth your time.
Secondly, how many TGPs still accept free submissions of any kind? How about more than 10 guarenteed listings a day?
The big AFF ad that's "tiny little ad right next to my huge ads complete with enticing images," well that actually bears the AFF code of the submitter that made the gallery, not mine. So, both of those ads pay him.
Furthermore, it's not about what other sites do, if I followed my competition my alexa would be about 10,000 right now, and it's under 500. I don't care what a "gallery submitter" defines himself as..
Simply put, I let you get 2 outbound links, plus a big ass AFF add on pages on my site, 10 times a day. What you pay for host (shit I hope like $4 a mbps, or free), is all up to you dude.
Some submitters kicked and screamed, some are doing killer sales with the new system.

Is there a list of pre-approved sponsor hosted domains list already setup inside the Krawl submission admin? Otherwise, do all submitters, who opt to use sponsor provided hosting, have to submit the sponsors domain for approval?
Perhaps a suggestion to get domains approved quicker would be to have an automated review script that verifies the ownership information from whois data, checks a blacklist database, etc? I assume that's basically what is involved in getting a domain approved manually, so perhaps this can be automated and thus the approval process could be made more efficient for all involved?NSFWComment
