What's the freakiest bit of magic you've ever seen done RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU?

How would the guy know which card I would pick? I picked one at random, and saw the complete deck before the trick began.

You didn't pick one at random. You picked from a deck of all-identical cards. Somewhere along the line, he swapped decks. Oldest trick in the book... :-/

It's just a card trick, but it was unreal, and to this day I have no idea how the fuck the guy did it (or even who he was).

I was in a local bar, this was maybe 12 or 13 years ago. I'm standing around with friends, drinking, flirting with the cute coat check girl..... and this average - a bit goofy looking guy - just sidles up and starts into his shpiel holding a deck of cards. I'm curiious so I play along.

It started out the usual way, he fans the deck and asks me to pick a card, don't show him, then slip it back in the deck, shuffle it etc. Then he starts trying to guess my card (10 of diamonds). He sifts through the deck, pulls up a card and says "This your card?"
I say "No"
He does this a few more times, each time getting it wrong.
He shakes his head as if confused as to why it's not working. My friends are snickering at him now. THEN.... he says "hmm, something's not right, I'll have to try something here..." and he inverts his hand over the deck and smacks the deck up into his hand with his other hand.
*SMACK*
He then hands me the deck and says "Find your card in there, make sure it's there"

I go sifting through the deck and can't see the 10 of diamonds anywhere. I look at him and say it's not there, he smiles and says "Look up"
I look up and there's my card, stuck about 8 feet off the floor, on the cieling. (we were standing in a spot in the bar where the cieling just happened to be lower than in other areas)
"Is that your card?"
I'm like "Yep, that be it"
The guy wasn't tall enough to reach up and retrieve the card. Me being 6'4", he asked me to get it for him, which I did.

Everyone within visual range of us was blown away, including me.

I offered to buy the guy a drink, and in fact everyone I was with offered him one, but he just thanked us for playing along and then blended back into the crowd and I never saw him again. Still don't know who the fuck he was, but that was on amazing trick.

That 'cough the head fell off' trick is the freakiest thing I've seen so far. Crazy fucking shit!

CD, my guess is the card was already there and you were forced to pick the same one that was already up there.

How? I have a deck of card where every other card is a 10, hearts. They are slighty longer than the other cards and depending how you hold them they will always be on top. On top of a random card. I can show you the deck as normal cards and i can show you the deck as only 10's depending how i hold them.

I can make you pick a 10 hearts as many times as i want. Its nothing amazing, just a simple trick.

AGAIN... why is it so important for some of you to figure out everything of this type described or shown to you?
