First DVD I ever rent from them and it stops working about half way through.

That sucks. I had them for about 2 years and I think I ended up with about 6-7 broken or too scratched to play DVDs. I guess it isn't that bad for that period of time, but the first one is not making a good impression. -

yeah it seems some of their discs are way scratched. I have also had a few times where they do not make it here, or back.

I don't either, seriously... spend $3 bucks in gas to go to a rental store, to find what you want isn't there, with minimum wage workers who would rather spit on your face than actually help you find something, then go home to find out the movie is scratched, not working, skips or might even be the wrong movie. All for about the price of going to an actual movie.
And then the store across the street from me closes down and everyone wonders why.
I hope Blockbuster dies quickly...

Millions of people use Netflix, you can't expect them to inspect every DVD they have and make sure it works and isn't scratched to shit. Send them an email saying it's scratched and you're sending it back and would like a replacement, you'll have your new movie in a day or 2.Comment
