What is the exact cause of death though? Is it internal bleeding from the accident and if so where? Or bleeding inside the head from the fall? Now I'm afraid I might die after I fall or something. I'm scared
Really sad, and to think of the shit they do on a show like Nitro Circus, they take massive wipeouts on bikes from 10+ feet in the air and then laugh at each other...

Well this appears to be a freak accident. Happens though with head bumps. RIP.

freak accident, isn't going to keep me off the slopes. you guys gonna give up driving because a lot of people die in car crashes too?
I drive as little as possible since I work from home. That should cut my dying in a car accident risk by 90 percent since most people drive the most for their commute. I drive to the grocery store and bank, all within less than a 1 mile radius from me, probably half a mile. I do drive but as little as possible. I don't go on long road trips.
Of course people can die everyday from freak accidents but one can always minimize their risk. There is a chance one can fall and break their neck walking around the house but if you drive less and don't ski you can minimize your chances of dying from skiing or car accidents. Its all about minimizing all the risks that can lead to death. Eventually we all die but we can minimize the risk of death by living a low-risk life.

You realize most auto accidents happen within 25 miles of home, right?
It was a freak accident and she wasn't wearing a helmt. The odds of it happening to you is near zero
exactly. i live in a resort town. i see new broken bones, bruises, & blood every couple days. if i'm not up at the hill riding, and i'm just sitting around my apartment, there's a good chance i'm gonna hear sirens. it's a pretty hardcore hill, and people go big. i've lost myself over cliffbands, ragdolled down steep slopes, wrapped myself around stumps, buried myself in tree wells, layed myself out flat catching tree branches, and outright ate shit launching off jumps. there's plenty of ways you can damage yourself on the hill, and they happen every day. thousands and thousands of people ride and ski every day, and dozens die every season. usually it's a avalanche, or someone gets lost in an out of bounds area. maybe they hit a rock or a tree, but falling on a groomer and dying? that's one in a million, it's like getting hit by lightning...
