What we know so far...
The DC had a power issue or a grid issue in the immediate area around 8:30 this morning, we are still waiting on full details, back-up systems did kick in but there was a lag time as the router, etc reset, we are going through all monitoring systems and the racks to make sure everything is ok and to get answers on how and why this happened. There were huge outtage 2 weeks ago now 3 of my servers are down for ONE FUCKING HOUR already, server on another segment were down for 20 minutes. What the fuck fuckups they are ? I just moved there from FDC but they had ZERO OUTTAGE in last 1.5 years and these clowns who everyone recommends here are down on weekly basis...FUCK...and its top time in the USA = biggest losses....Comment

yup I can't remember the last time phatservers was down for me.. Shit happens from time to time and I don't see one hour of downtime a year or so as a bad thing with the type of fast daily support service given to me for non downtime issuesComment

Working fine for me now. Traffic analysis chart shows it was down for about an hour and a half, but it's back to normal.
There are very few hiccups with Phat Servers but when one arises they usually fix everything quickly.Comment

I used to think that phatservers was a good host but really in these days long downtimes are simply unacceptable and over an hour? thats really not good.

I just spent the last few days finally trying to decide which company to use for a dedicated setup. After looking at about 20 other host I put PhatServers at the very top of my list. Then I just make about three more clicks to see this thread at the top of GFY... oh boy.
I sure they're a great company with a proven track record, but the current issues do make me somewhat worried. I wouldn't want to jump on board and have to deal with downtime straight out the gate.
Are the problems some of you guys are experiencing on the shared services, or on the dedicated servers as well?Comment

I don't do biz with Techiemedia but I have been around here forever and read Nothing but great things about them, infact this is the 1st time i can remember anything negative ever being said about them, To be honest I read many of your threads and you are nothing but a shit starter and a useless troll.

Hey to set the record straight Moose (phatservers) has been a friend of mine for like 10 years. Maybe he is a competitor but he is still a friend as many other hosts are as well. He runs a great service and to be quite honest I have even sent many customers to him for virtual hosting as we do not offer that any longer. Stop your minds from wondering and do some work. Phatservers runs a good tight ship and should be commended for such.
