Blogger is really starting to piss me off!!!

Last night blogger went down for about 30 minutes...

according to their latest update posted around 4:30 am
they say...

Blogspot was down for about 30 minutes. It has been restored now, but some blog pages are still returning an error page. We are working on resolving the problem.

Update, 4:25AM: This issue has been fixed.

But my page / site is still down... returning and error 500 message

The hole purpose for me using blogger was Because I had so much work at the time and thought it would be easier than setting up my own...

i.e. just wanted to get it up and running as soon as possible & link to it from my own site!!!

but now I'm thinking about moving it to my own server...

However, the blogger instructions on moving are to veig and lack alot of info...

All they provide are instructions on FTPing to the server (I already know how to do that)

what bout database setup & posting software and all the other crap???

Anyway, sorry for going on and on about it guys...
I'm just pissed off cause I'm loosing money right now!!!

ya using a blogspot domain is a bad idea. if they suspend your blog or delete is, all your se listings go poof.

at least use your own domain and use blogger to post to it.

but recently i had noticed blogger takes forever to publish, you have to post at like 3am when the servers are faster

or hope they dont pull your site ;) i know they have a policy about adult content for blogspot domains because the links is hosted on their server. i have never had a problem with my blogger accounts posting to my own server

WORD OF CAUTION... if you already have a blog with lots of keywords and some SE traffic, DO NOT switch to your own domain. Why? Because it becomes available to other bloggers and they will get that traffic. If your blogspot has questionable content, you might want to tone it down (edit content) and create a new site on the dashboard with your newer content/post that you host yourself. Then you can send the old blogpost traffic to the new one by creating a post about the move to a new domain.

I wanted to add: Dont redirect, delete, or edit your blogspot subdomain's settings unless you want someone else to take that URL and get the traffic you may already be receiving (ie typein, bookmark, search engine). You will have to contact trades to change their links of course.

I'm gonna have to go thru all the changes and work
all weekend...

Its just fucked up is all...

They pissed me a year ago one they shutted down all my blogs... no reason given...and my little blos made me 1-2k a month Were my babies and my nice hoby,now i dont do them anymore
