Bullring. No real justification, just more tradition than anything else. Sort of like sport hunting in the US, rarely a real reason.

Tomato festival. It happens at the end of the season. They have an over abundance of ripe tomatoes. Anyone with half of a brain knows that you can not ship fresh tomatoes anywhere any distance. They spoil and bruise super fast. Hence why people pick them green and ship then, i.e. why they taste like shit in the stores. By the way the canaries and like are full, it is just overflow. Though you want to speak of waste and hunger, look at the US grain situations.
