Why don't you just come on board? I promise you that it's just like GFY, in every regard.
Krotty guys are welcome. That is unless of course you are comfortable here with your red herrings, and don't want to debate with those who actually train and fight.
Which was created by our MA board representative. I've asked you repeatedly to contact me via icq, as I dont' want idiots like RS Media to clutter the place up.
Btw, I know you dont' know much about the martial arts, but let me fill you in.
BJJ
Wrestling
Boxing
Muay Thai
Judo
All Traditional Martial Arts, and none of them started in a cage.
But your knowledge of martial arts start in 1993 with the first UFC.
Any fighter that just relies on one art alone will lose to MMA.
BJJ has shown superiority over all of them, before they learned what BJJ was able to defend it by learning it.
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You idiot... I didn't get into MMA till early 2000... Before that I was into K1 and kickboxing... It's great how you supposedly know more about me than myself...
Also what have i said TIME AND TIME again... It's about a persons interest in Martial Arts... Who cares if it's Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kung Fu... If the person is happy doing their "McDojo" course so be it... So what if it won't be effective in a real fight, it's the fact they are happy doing it...
Be right back, it's TUF 4 Fight, Burnett vs Din Thomas of American Top Team!
You don't get it do you... Look what I wrote ABOVE that... Another great article I found on WIKIPEDIA... Man, are you sure the kids at school picked on you cause you were Asian?

It's real simple Dunefield, I posted that argument was a thread on my board, it got put on wikipedia, I told you our member wrote it.
You throw out the red herrings, and now are getting personal about it.
You talk shit about a martial art you have never trained in, but put your 2 cents in like you know what you talk about.
I'm about done arguing with you, you truly are an idiot, and winning by dragging me down to your level, and beating me with experience.

I've already conceeded that it's better to train in a mcdojo, because it's better than sitting on the couch.

ummmm... i don't get it? your member wrote it... so what? are you saying the wiki document is a joke? are you saying i ripped it off? cause i said time and time again... an article found on wikipedia? maybe i need to repeat that AGAIN!
getting personal? you're the one who posted your life story on the forum... lol...

I've been asking you to debate your side on a real MA board, which you have been dodging.
It's fine, you would have been run off anyway for your views.
I posted that to you for you to see my point of view, I see it was a mistake and thought you better than that.
So I should change them? Because you trained in a McDojo?
Please, get real.
My arguement has always been if you are going to train, train in something that will work. BJJ, MMA, Sambo, any of the MA's that are the primary arts in MMA.
You have been throwing 5 pages of Red Herrings to make your case that it's okay to be a bitch and train in a McDojo.
It is, if it's for excercise, and whatever excuse you want to use for studying a martial art that you have no idea will work in a real enviroment.
once again... whats wrong with keeping it in here?... i've said my point time and time and time again...
If people are interested in Karate, Kung Fu so be it... Pretty simple isn't it?
Why not have it on one of the busiest Martial Arts board? It's not Sherdog, where you have loudmouths who have never trained in a day in their life who have an opinion on anything. Unless that's where you feel most comfortable, and if it is, then I empathize why you are reluctant.
I doubt there are many people here interested in our debate. The read count has been primarily you and me.

BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Exercise and interests are an "EXCUSE"? You're kidding me right?
Also your comment "IN A REAL ENVIRONMENT"... I'm sorry but not everyone gets into fights on a daily basis... I go clubbing on a REGULAR basis and I've never once been in a fight with other people... I dunno where you hang out or what kind of area you live in but my god...

Why whats the point? After this thread dies I'm not going to talk about martial arts again until someone talks about Pride or UFC in here... Plus I don't think it's hurting anyone... If they're not interested they won't be clicking the thread to begin with...

More Red Herrings.
I'm done, I think I've made it clear that the reason you are vehement about this discussion is due to the fact:
1. That you have trained in a McDojo, and know it (It's okay, I did too, till BJJ)
2. That you no longer train, but feel a need to be an expert at fighting and why people train.
3. Have self worth issues due to 1 and 2, and would rather cut your nose off to spite your face rather than admit it.

Alrighty.
All piss aside, if you get a chance one day, take some BJJ. There are alot of good schools out there in Oz, and I know some of the instructors, and have trained with one.

Thanks for the entertainment!
AWWWW!!!
Because people who are interested in martial arts that isn't BJJ are really just making "excuses" (as you put it) for themselves and are putting tuna sandwiches everywhere... they won't be able to show their strength in a cage and prove they're the toughest momma around... damn those monks wasted all their life practicing religion and kung fu for nothing
ps. care to show me where i said i was an expert at fighting?
hey whats sup..
i have studied
Wah Lum Kung Fu Northern Praying Mantis for 6 years
JuJitsu 4 years
weapons include: staff, Eskrima Sticks (my fav) and broadsword
i have studied at wah lum kung fu of new port richey for 6 years..really need to get back in there

To put it simply... No...
Why? Because having dudes sweat all over me and be all over me in what kind of positions doesn't interest me one bit...
The truth of the matter, to me at least, is just the opposite. TMA schools tend to foster unrealistic self-anlyization of one's skill level or martial effectiveness. Despite the constant "Use your powers only for good" rhetoric, things won't work as planned. Little Johnny thinks that his Kung Fu will repel bullies and crack fiends alike, but we all know this isn't the case. Johnny does NOT know that this isn't the case, however.
truer words have never been spoken. this sums up my feelings about Martial arts and certain styles in particular in the US and the fact that people tend to think they are the shit just because they got 2 years of Tae Kwon Do with some idiot who would get his ass handed to him by the average girlscout... and who convienently doesn't want to fight in tournaments or on the street because he's just "too deadly" or whatever.
shit., i go to Ballys everyday to work out and there are the stereotypical fuckheads there training people - same shit. Tae Kwon Do, Korean stuff, Muay Thai etc. I was watching these muay thai guys train and was asked to leave because it was making the two guys he was training insecure. i just laughed and said "let's hope and pray we never get to see how insecure they get when someone tries to attack and hurt them". that was just a couple weeks ago.
people train together in a gym and start buying into their own fantasy and bullshit, until the only reply to left to "hey, lets go out back and find out who is best... no animosity, nothing personal, lets just fight, find out, shake hands and go get a beer together afterwards" can be the famous kung fu reply - "well, i'd like to but the techniques we practice are just too deadly". Even in Go Ju, i saw a lot of this. every school had 3-4 kids who were just invincible warriors sent down by the gods in their own dojo... we always heard about them, they were always bragged about and theyalmost always got their asses handed to them the second they fought outside their little fantasy world.

HAHAHA!!! Gotta love the macho wankoids... The death touch... Di Mac or some shit isn't it? LOL!!!
25 years martial arts experience in a number of styles and having had to use it unfortunately on a number of occasions, plus several years of applied security work ... and if there is one thing I have learnt its that probably 1-3% of 'Martial Arts' schools actually teach you correctly whichever style.
Its also interesting to watch how some people need to put down other martial arts to make themselves feel better. They are usually the virtual martial arts 'experts' who do a few lessons and read a few posts and watch the UFC. If they got their fat ass to the gym instead of posting about how good their style is all day then they probably wouldn't feel the need to prove themselves on the internet.
Nothing is more pathetic to watch than a whole bunch of keyboard warriors arguing about which style is best behind the relative saftey of their PC. ;)
I did Kempo from 8 years old until 24 years old. I got my 3rd degree black belt, and was an assistant instructor for a couple of schools.
I switched gears and did Tang Soo Do from 24 to 27.
Hey I'm doing kempo as well...and I did Judo for six years...
Well what we do is full contact but our pros go to cagefighting and mma(though its Europe and dont have pro management)
I've heard that most martial arts in the US are more funny than cool....especially taek-won-dow--where you imitate fighting....I never understood that..how can someone belive he's a fighter when he only imitates fightin?? Once I visited a Wing-Tsun training and I had to laugh of that statue they hitting....If you're not fighting at training how could you belive you're a fighter???
