            Now, a bit of a story about you.
            Back in seacaucus NJ in what, 1999? At the party JoeE (I think) threw, I remember you cornering one of my then partners on a couch. he, sitting, you standing over him. You're smoking a cig with the longest ash I've ever seen about to drop off the cig, my partner caught undernieth, just waiting for it to drop on him.
            We were laughing our asses off watching from across the room.
            priceless.

                                                        Anyway, he come in late, greats the maitre de by name and tells the waiter to tell the chef (whos name he alos knows) that he's here and that he wants the chef to just make us whatever he wants. he then turns to the waiter and tells him to pick whatever wines he'd like to pair with the dishes the chef serves.
                                                        Robert and I look at each other and with our eyes, say to each other,"this is going to cost us a fortune"
                                                        The guy proceeds to explain how we can send him traffic and he'll count it by asking the arriving surfer to use a drop down box to explain where he came from.
                                                        After about 10 minutes of polite silence by us, I think it was Sweet T who finally interupted him and said something like,"no offense, but you've got over half of the adult net sitting at this table and we have a better way of counting traffic"
                                                        it broke the ice and we went on to have a great dinner. Never did business with the casino dude but dinner was fun.

                                                        Oh, and remember when they served Bob Botto quail for the main course and he balked? He says to the waiter, "um, I can't eat this. It looks too much like pigeon. I can't eat this"

                                                        verey funny night. very great night.

                                                        Lars, we need to do dinner again. Its been too long.

                                                                obviously Mojo. He's like a gentleman farmer of the internet. I don't think he's ever had an enemy even when *we've* had enemies. As I've said before, he's brilliant. Other people see that and want to be around him because of it. Being his idiot sidekick has opened many door for me.

                                                                Another guy, is Ken Lawson. honest as the day is long. I used to say back in the day, "Ken is so honest, I'd trust him with my naked wife." and its true. hell of a guy. (of course, he never thought much of me, haha)

                                                                Ron Cadwell is another guy who has my full respect. Much like Mojo, he's brilliant. Always entertaining and interesting at our dinners, always someone I look up to. When we used to worry about processors, I ALWAYS said, as long as one of the processors is run by Ron Cadwell, this business is in good hands. Another guy I'd trust completely.

                                                                Uh, I don't think I can do a paragraph for each guy I respect in this business so let me list them.

                                                                Lars, Rich Botto, Lensman, Brad Shaw, Zimm, Kjell, John Bennett, David Vander Pole (or however that dutch bastard spells it), Steve Lightspeed, Marc De, Kevin from Top Bucks, boy there's really too many to name and I'll piss some guys off by forgetting them.

                                                                but I make special room for Sweet T. Tony has always always been good to us. A good friend, generous, etc. He really at times led us noobs around vegas by the hand. I',m sure it meant nothing to him but it meant everything to us. Even when we weren't doing business with him he was always great.

I started in 1997 and started going to shows in 1999 and I think I met you for the first time at a show around 2001. I've probably been to more shows than you have I don't think I'd spend my own money to attend these events if I was "pretending" to be in the biz, lol.

                                                                            I realize your issue - you have to make a decision that someone is lying between two people and it's in your best interest to choose me. I have no problem with that and I understand your reasoning. But acting like I'm not in this business and haven't been for years is beneath you. Don't lower yourself to that level.

                                                                                                                        Seacaucus was our first Internet show in 1998. 2007 will be our 10th Anniversary - and we are still here!! (our demise has been greaty exagerated from time to time) Actually, at that time about the only people in the biz I knew by sight were Mark Tiarra, Allissa, Sammi, Rich Bono, and Lee Noga. Everyone else was just a name on a chatboard. By the time I left, I think I had met just about everyone that was important in the business at that time.

Our dinners usually consist of less than 15 people, all of them tops in our industry. The venues have always been fantastic (in a gay way) such as Picasso, Delmonicos, Le Cirque, and Smith&Wollenski's
                                                                                                                                                    People polite enough to accept our invitation have been a who's who of the industry. Besides the people already mentioned in this thread, we've had Lensman, Ron Cadwell, Tony Morgan, Botto Brothers, JB, Mike Strouse, Shemp, Gary Kremen, Chris Mallick, Punker Barbie, Three Kisses Marie, KK, Brad Shaw, Lars, Python Aly, Loryn, Butterflied, Pornkings Carol, Jen, and Lisa, Cory, and really a host of others (again, I'll be crucified for forgetting names) but who wouldn't have a good time in that company.

                                                                                                                                                    As far as whether its an attempt to buy friends, can you hit these people up and see if its working?

                                                                                                                                                                                                    Robert and I look at each other and with our eyes, say to each other,"this is going to cost us a fortune"
                                                                                                                                                                                                    The guy proceeds to explain how we can send him traffic and he'll count it by asking the arriving surfer to use a drop down box to explain where he came from.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    After about 10 minutes of polite silence by us, I think it was Sweet T who finally interupted him and said something like,"no offense, but you've got over half of the adult net sitting at this table and we have a better way of counting traffic"
                                                                                                                                                                                                    it broke the ice and we went on to have a great dinner. Never did business with the casino dude but dinner was fun.

                                                                                                                                                                                                    Oh, and remember when they served Bob Botto quail for the main course and he balked? He says to the waiter, "um, I can't eat this. It looks too much like pigeon. I can't eat this"

                                                                                                                                                                                                    that was an amazing dinner, I still remember the dessert I ate is was simply amazing, and the Bellagio had just opened not to much earlier so it was uber hip Agreed lets do Dinner again for certain , but this time I get to treat I remember sitting at that table looking around and thinking why am I here, but looking back I know its cuzz I was pushing so much frigging golden traffic. I also remember knowing I had arrived and was starting to make a name for myself. I sure miss the Botto Boys and the whole Max Cash Crew they were great to do business with! I believe that was 1998.
