When I read an article on it, it mentioned that one of the first things the guy did was slash his gills, meaning the shark would have died, but probably a slower death, so the guy kept at him more to put him out of his misery quickly than just let him sink and die a slow death. That changed my perspective on it as at first I thought he was in this raging 2 hour blood battle to save his friend when in reality it was more to finish the shark offComment
