However... back in late 2002 when the bush admin started selling the idea of an Iraq war to the American people we were given 3 reasons:

1. Iraq was responsible for 9-11
2. Iraq had WMDs
3. Saddam was an imminent threat to the U.S.

Of course we later found out that none of the above was true, and most people have forgotten these little tid bits but yeah, 6 1/2 years is a long time to think back.
