yeah i'd just offer $100 back. and explain that it was in working order when you last used it, etc etc, and that it was sold as is and you have no way to know if the damage was caused when they moved it.

BUT that you don't want them to feel like they are being screwed, and don't want to feel the same for yourself. so you're willing to offer $100 for the replacement part.


.. seriously, just be honest with them.
