I am mainly trying to say that it is a lot easier to determine whether or not intervention was "needed" or "not needed" in hindsight. In hindsight we can rip each other to pieces and ask "why didn't this happen?" "Why didn't that happen?"

In six months if Iran pops up with a nuclear bomb there will be all sorts of "why didn't such and such happen?" If in six months we decide to go after Iran with the idea that they have a nuclear bomb and they don't have it there will be all sorts of "why did we do that?"

Hindsight is like war. If you win, you're a hero and you did this great thing. If you lose, you are a loser and will go down in flames.

Just say for example sake that a nuclear bomb was found in Iraq... today would be a totally different day. Would George W. Bush have been called one of the greatest President's? Maybe... until he found somewhere else to screw up. :-)
