I feel like I've had $2000 left to pay for the last 5 years. It never seems to go away.

nonono, I took it all right, you were right, I didn't make the BEST decisions when I was 18, but what 18 year old makes good decisions?

Best decision I made was when I "dropped out".. My 3rd year with Video Secrets they wanted to make me one of their "spokeswomen" but that meant doing any and all appearances, photoshoots, etc that they wanted me at, so I had to stop going to school to become a full time webcam slut.. I now make more than 2x what I would of made w my teaching degree, and I'm having sooo much fun doing it

It took me 10 years to pay off my $125k loan for film school. It sucks but you are better to just pay it off early if you are able. It will save you a ton of interest.

I moved here from South Africa and researched schools in the US and Canada so I know there are affordable options in both countries.

If you have the 5k why not hand it over? Avoiding a 6% loan would beat most investments right now. Interest on your primary residence is tax deductible. Try to owe on it and nothing else.
