It's easy for webmasters to say that college is a waste of time, especially if you've been doing this for several years. A lot of us started before colleges even taught this stuff, so it's very hard to justify going now.
Sometimes I'll see some kid say on a forum that he wants to go to college for web design and whatnot, but I never respond to them. From my side of the fence, again, having been here since pre-boom era, it's hard to say how new people should go about it nowadays.
