Yes, you could lie to cover the deficiency....
And you are not making much now but we all know on average college grads more more and a lot more then non college grads over the course of their lives. I did not go to college and I find it a real regret. Having fun for 4 years and then having that paper does not seem a bad deal in hindsight. And in my different lines of work I never would have used.
