I feel so guilty.
I have been going up the street to the Nursing home and helping look after my friends mom, I went up early on Friday and she was a mess. I call all 6 of her kids and got one to come up there. I told them and the nurses that something was wrong with her, she's 79 and has Alzheimer's.
Well I finally get the nurse to tell me she had fallen at 7 AM. By the time I hear this poor old Viola has been in so much pain it's a sin. So come to find out at 5 pm she had broken her hip and they finally take her to the hospital. I feel so bad I didn't make them take her in the AM when I knew something was wrong.
I don't know about you but my experience is when people that old break there hip the end up dieing. I just wish I had made them go to the hospital soon and I hadn't let those horrible nurses pick her up and fling her into the wheelchair so she could use the bathroom.
She has 3 screws in her hip now, I just hope she doesn't go back to that home.

I don't trust most retirement homes now. 
I watched my grandmother go through that.
