    What is the big deal with Toons?

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them and some of them are works of art. I would love to be able to create them myself, may even check out some tutorials, but what is it about them that gets nearly every man, woman and their budgerigar wanting them?

                                              Twisted Illustration makes great fucking toons! They are perfect for nearly any web-based application imo.

                                              That said, I dunno why toons are so in, they just are. I think they have a chance to greatly improve any page though and often have the ability to make or break the design.

                                                                                      - Its easier remembering a toon as a mascot rather than another photo. If related to the site's name, the toon will add more recall value to the site (the hun, elephantlist, etc). The site will appear different to the last few hundred sites the surfer has visited.
                                                                                      - Children like toons so they can secretly buy memberships using their parents cards.

                                                                                              I don't agree with you on this, man. IMO theres also a lot of "premium" illustrators out there, delivering way overpriced crap that i really wouldn't call triple A.

                                                                                                              We're actually not anywhere near the highest prices in the industry... but we pride ourselves on the effort and time and quality that goes into our stuff. We don't think anyone else does the quality we do, at the price we do (or less).

I don't like it at all .... BUT ... as i have TIME and TIME again, said ... Blue Wire are THE best at what they do.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Some people HATE our style. That's the beauty of toon work... it's something that can appeal to different audiences. They all have their own unique style.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Anyone who has a toon on their site will likely be more remembered than those that don't ... purely because as said above, it adds branding and a unique mascot for the site in question.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      It's not about getting off to porn toons ... it's about identity.
