a little while back I was on craiglist and saw a guy advertising office for $40 and a couple other programs for pretty cheap. I thought they must be used or something so I contact him. He sends me a reply saying that he is selling burned copies of the original software and if I was interested I could contact him agian and we could set up a time to meet. I just forwarded his ad and the emails to microsoft.Comment

I dont think pirating software should deserve a 7 year jail time, maybe community service, and with house arrest. forfeiting whatever he made from that biz and finally cooperating with the authorities to dismantle other gangs that operate in the pirate world. Of course paying back all the companies that he stole from. But I dont consider copyright infringement to be worth 7 years, he is probably a scape goat and a warning to others he may choose his path.
