use adium. then no matter what. u open chatlog viewer and select the date.

can go through any you didn't really see. done and done.

I tried that after your recommendation when I first got a Mac... but the problem with that was the msgs kept getting delay'd, it would take over 30minutes for someone to receive a msg I sent or vice versa.
Will check if they released a new version and give it another try.
