I have long respected him a political commentator.
I remember reading Yertle The Turtle and having it dawn on me it was about Hitler. I would have read that so many times as a really young kid and never got that but suddenly I did and then I wanted more of his political stuff. The picture of the who with a star is on a t-shirt I wore into the ground as a teen.Comment

yeah many of his books were allegorical and brilliant - the last one he did like that i think was
