Ah...I believe it when I hear the official statement on Sunday!!!
And I have to say.....I don't like him anyway!!!!!
But I also have to say that he really is the best one in the F1

he didn't want to test himself against raikonen in a head to head. still if he does go he will retire as one of the greatest drivers ever. good luck to him, he has been a good ambassador for the sport!
Guys take it easy. Let's wait till he announces it himself. ESPN writes that their source is the german newspaper "Bild". As far as I am informed "Bild" is a tabloid. So let's wait for Monza this weekend and let him announce it himself...
btw as a side note Shumi is about the only thing that could make me watch NASCAR.. lol so I guess they will pick up a big audience if he really did sign with them.

he told me that long ago, now all the mediocre drivers will have a chance
why do so many people hate is beyond me, simply because he's the best, I hear people saying - ok, he competes "dirty", he's not a sportsmen - cry me a fucking river, you do everything you can to win, period
Neither golf players nor F1 drivers are athletes, for crying out loud. Kind of like calling chess players athletes.
No offense dude, but that was a really ignorant statement...these days, most F1 driver are elite-level athletes. The physical demands of driving a formula 1 car are incredibly intense and these guy have to train up to that level.
Arguing whether the Democratic or Republican party is better is like debating which steaming pile of shit is slightly less stinky.
F1 racing has come a long way since Jackie Stewart, my favorite driver retired. During the early 70's a driver had a three in five chance of dying if he raced more than five years. Think about that, 3 in 5 if you raced more than five years ..... safety was pathetic ..... death or injury by fire common .....
At the peak of his career, three time World Champion F-1 driver Jackie Stewart retired ..... the reason given was .....
"I have done everything there is to do in racing except die"

Happy retirement to Schumacher .....
Sir Jackie is an awesome man....he really started the push for safety in motorsport.

p.s. i started calling Michaels' retirement over a month ago. Raikkonen has an ironclad contract with ferrari for next year and Massa has been acting like he knows exactly what he is doing next year...and is very happy with it. 3 does not go into 2 ;)

Well it was a pretty high chance that this would be his last year.. I think he really wanted that last championship but I'm sure he's probably getting tired as a driver now.

Yeah, I agree...really, how much more does he need to prove? I've never been a huge fan of him, but you can't deny the greatness.

k, then scratch F1 drivers from my statement. Still doesn't make golfers athletes.
Whitehat is for chumps
If you don't do it, somebody else will - true story!

Yea I always liked him but I believe I knew he was great when I saw him do that one race in Monaco I think it was, when his car was stuck in 5th gear. He made two pit stops and still finished the race I think it was in third.
That was back when he was driving the Benton v8 powered car. That's the other thing so many people seem to forget, he won his first two championships in the only v8 powered car in F-1.
