True-ish. It wasn't his only problem. Kevin Carter's suicide note:
"I am depressed ... without phone ... money for rent ... money for child support ... money for debts ... money!!! ... The Ken in question is
Ken_Oosterbroek, a friend and fellow South African journalist killed earlier that year (1994).
