Boil some vinegar and spices on the stove, or just water and spices. Though vinegar will work better even though it will smell kind of foul while you do it, that smell leaves quickly and you end up with fresh smelling air.

Try baking soda, just mix it with water and wipe it on the affect area. Works great on getting rid of cigarette smell off my hair.
