If anyone should be called on this it should be Bush. Now that the Republicans are no longer in the White House they are blaming Obama for this.
Each aircraft, would now cost about 400 million dollars, more than the cost of the two adapted 747 aircraft now serving as Air Force One. I would look into why Bush approved this much money to the helicopter maker and not why Obama is spending it as it was Bush who approved all this spending sending out deficit to hell.

I've a lot about this subject really, and it very interesting. The Presidential helicopter fleet is a big fucking deal. It isn't one helicopter, but dozens. If I recall correctly there are three or four "groups" of helicopters, each with three or four helicopters each. All of the groups are the same, one group carries the President, and the others are decoys. Also in the bunch is a medical helicopter, as well as helicopters with additional secret service members.
