    Fucken Tonsils

    So I go see the doc yesterday for a sore throat. I?ve had strep 5 times this year already. My last visit I was pumped up with 2000Ml of Augmentin per day. Yup, have it again and the doc?s tell me the strep is hiding out in my fucken tonsils and that we should take them out?

    Now, I heard taking your tonsils out at my age is like have a circumcision with no meds . Is it that bad?

      Dunno about that but I had mine out when I was really little and from what I've heard it's not that useful really. Might want second opinion first.

          I had mine out when I was about 19. It wasn't that bad. For a couple of days it hurt to eat or drink much but after a few days it goes away. Much better then getting sick 5 times a year.

                  How old are you??
                  I had mine done a few years ago with the age of 26!
                  Was actually not bad, you just shouldn't be a baby afterwards because you have to start to eat right away also when it hurts a little bit (really not that bad!) and you definitly shouldn't do it when it's hot outside!!
                  The blood is thinner when it's hot and you start to bleed easier (my brother had this problem, he did it in summer to have a nice vacation. was not that nice, he had to go back to the hospital twice!!)
                  I did it in winter and everything was fine!!!!!
                  No problems at all!!!!!!!!
                  You will see it's better than to be sick all the time!!

                                      I had mine out 7 days before the XBiz Summer Forum in Vegas, flying halfway around the world to get there.

                                      I ate full meals the same day and had a nice chunky steak sandwich the next.

                                      THEN it started to get uncomfortable ... not killer mind you, just annoying as all hell.

                                      I would suggest that cigarettes, alcohol and non-presciption pharmacueticals are probably not on the Surgeon-Generals recommended to do list 7 days after surgery though.
