        5 whole gigs??

Beating me testpie - doing 100K this month and hoping for an awesome 50% traffic increase next month to 150K. BTW... there no money in search engines.

I use an average of 4.52mbps so you can do the math if you like.

But to be honest, that's just the network I run. There are a couple other machines hooked up to my switch as well, so my personal servers are only responsible for a fraction of that...

A full length members area video may be 500MB at 620x480. Multiply that by 200k and 3 videos each... Good luck using an "Unlimited Plan" at server matrix.
If you're enjoying 200k existing members and 15k joins per month, you're also hauling in enough to afford truly unlimited hosting.

If you're relying on optimization as your primary source of profit margin, then you're doing something wrong.

But...I guess being in this business over seven years and making it my lucrative livelihood for five of those years - must make me "clueless."

They're clueless? 200k existing members? 15k joins a month? There isn't a paysite out there that does this, and 90% of programs currently have less then 15k existing users total.

Dunno off the top of my head. More than I use. I get gigged on storage. Never the BW part of my bill, but I think I have the 2nd highest plan.

What part is far fetched? I'm curious. There are plenty of programs pushing 500 joins a day. Look at the advertisers on GFY and you'll see a few. The 200k may be a bit skewed but it is far from unheard of (that's only 6 million gross a year at $30.00 a join), but I was making a point. Want 2 examples? Bangbros and Nasty Dollars. As far as a paysite doing those numbers, I didn't know this was limited to just 1 site. Most programs have multiple sites and are hosted under the same company, thus combining the totals makes perfect sense.

Vasago... show me 1 hosting provider that deals with this amount of BW who doesn't charge per mbps, tbps, gig, etc. The numbers would alter so much on a month to month basis that it wouldn't make sense for either party involved.

Lol. I'm sorry to burst your buble, but less then 1% of all companies have this. I can think of 2 or 3 tops, and that only on promotion months.

I will repeat to you again. 90% of paysite COMPANIES (even those that you see that have like 20 paysites in their portfolio) don't have more then 15k active members (this is taken on a monthly basis ofcourse). Not all the advertising you see is what you think it is. Also, there are alot of companies that aren't even present on gfy that tear many of the "top advertisers" to the ground regarding membership base. I don't know where you got all these ideas, but they are WAY OFF.
Also, you should check your math, 200k members is 6 million A MONTH, not a year...

approx. 180,000 gb/month or 180 tb/month for the FTVgirls.com member servers & FTVcash hosted galleries etc...

You are correct with the math part and I apologize. As I said, the 200k is a stretch. The 15k is not. The point is that there are 10% of the companies that do, whereas it was started that there were none. Not that I'd know or anything since I am a noob that has never worked in the paysite game. ( ) . A medium company pushes 100-200 joins a day and that is a medium company. The larger companies push much more. Am I off with this as well?

I also know that not all of the ad's are what they seem. I know many of the advertisers and our company is one as well. I also know that many top programs don't even hit boards, and that some companies are MUCH larger than the public assumes. The reason for board absenses are due to the fact that they don't need the press/promo. I shouldn't have to name names of programs pushing 15k monthly. You seem like you're in the know, and what other companies make/process is really nobody's business.

This is way off topic anyways. I was just trying to prove a point that programs with volume would never go with an "unlimited" plan. It'd be too difficult.

I said there were none that did the numbers you first said, those that do 15k a month, that is okay. I wouldn't call them medium tho, because as i mentioned, 90% of the companies out there have less then 15k active members, so that would put them in the "big" range. Statistics are a bitch however, since there are far more companies that are small, as opposed to those that are big.
And be very vary of the advertising schemes. I know of several "top advertisers" here that don't even have liquid months at times, yet people think they are huge.

Sorry... I exagerated to prove a point that "unlimited" plans don't work for everybody. Hard to come across over the net if the intent is not known.

When going from medium to large, there is quite a gap. Most people I have spoke to consider 100-200 a day medium since the larger programs push so much more. 200 a day is medium when put next to a program doing 500-1k a day, and large to a program that does 5 joins a day. It's all relative, but quite obvious that certain programs hold the largest market shares.

I know what you mean about the advertisers. Some people boost themselves up in others' eyes instead of focusing on boosting their bank accounts.

Sorry for any confusion/anger/etc. Was not trying to get into this discussion or to offend anybody. Cheers!
