    registering on gfy

    my friend is over right now and I am trying to get her registered on here but it says her email address is banned. She only just this moment created it so I can't see how that is possible. It is a gmail address, do you know if the whole gmail domain is banned?

    She sent email to admin but I'm sure he gets a ton of spam and I'm not sure if he'll actually see it.

    Anyone know?

                          Eric placed a new rule in effect for registration where all new accounts must be tied to a domain and can not be a free email service.

                                  I think that is the exact case where there settings worked. Someone created a new free email account then created a new account.

                                              registration is pretty much closed, I have two colleagues that created accounts months ago and every time they log in they get this message:

                                              you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

                                              Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
                                              If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.




                                              not sure what it takes to be a member on gfy, but I am sure lots of people aren't getting in if legit people in the industry can't get in

                                                              She is dead serious about doing this so I told her to send the admin an email. She's visiting me right now here in Vancouver but is actually from Montreal. I'm sure most of you Mtl photogs would love to work with her.

                                                              Anyway, once she is registered I'll take a couple photos of her and she can post them if she wants.

                                                              You are all right about the free email thing by the way, it can not be a free host.
