That's like asking how do I lose weight without going on a diet or exercising?Originally posted by testpieHow on earth do you build up a big, consistent traffic source without having to pay for it or ruin your site's design by exhanging links with the world and it's dog?
It takes patience man. Rome wasn't built in a day.
People who tell you they can build a 100K TGP in a day or a week are either
A) Lying
B) Already control way more traffic than that and just divert some to the new project
or
c) It isn't "real" traffic. (By that I mean it's just circle jerked crap that won't make you any money)
If you want a consistent long term traffic base then you have to build it slowly. Work on organic search engine listings and give the surfers a good reason to bookmark your site.
It takes time, patience, and hard work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is no different than those late night infomercial guys who tell you that you can lose 100lbs by taking a pill or make a million dollars just by calling their 1-800 number.sig too bigComment

A static html page or subdirectory would be best.Originally posted by GillespieScratch that. iFrames sound like the shittiest idea.

I want to make $100,000 next year, by the end of dec 07.
what would you do if you were me?
Im open to trying anything and have some money I can invest.
I currently make $2k a month from tgp galleries and its not growing, its stalled for a year now.
I honestly want to make more money so I can just send it home and help my mom.Last edited by niceanice; 09-02-2006, 11:36 AM.Comment

No you can do blog posts, just set your permalinks up to use the post names as the url....then your post or page named "raven riley" will have a url of domain.com/raven-riley/Originally posted by GillespieSo basically, instead of blog posts, I should write pages?
Right now, my scarce traffic comes from hahahahahahahahahaha and I presume it won't pick me up if I write pages, right?
You can also create pages within wordpress, either way is fine, I just think you're better off linking to yourself than linking to a sponsor's tour for two reasons.
1 is the search engine rankings.
2 is if the sponsor ever goes out of business etc you don't have to change links on 1000's of pages, you just have to change 1 page.sig too bigComment

What would you say is the best way for a new webmaster to enter the adult business and reach a goal of making 1k a month in the shortest amount of time? I know it will be tons of work and that is fine I just have a problem of giving up on things if I dont see some sort of return within the first couple of months.Comment

I would take the profit you're making from gallery submissions and invest it into paid partner accounts.Originally posted by niceaniceI want to make $100,000 next year, by the end of dec 07.

Use your sponsors campaign tracking feature so you can tell which TGP's are sending sales and which ones aren't. (Some good server stats will help as well)
Take the profit from that and use it to buy paid listings on the TGP's that are sending you the most sales on your free listings.
Rinse, repeat.
No guarantees of 100K of course, but that should help get you out of the muck and growing again.sig too bigComment

I would build TGP galleries and submit them to every TGP that takes free submissions.Originally posted by joshman1204What would you say is the best way for a new webmaster to enter the adult business and reach a goal of making 1k a month in the shortest amount of time? I would also build a blog that featured all of my galleries. Every time you build a new gallery write a new blog post about it and link to it.
Take the money you make and invest it into paid partner accounts and keep building from there.sig too bigComment

However, about the linking, if a sponsor disappears, I just have to look up at the posts of their girls and change the links. It will probably be three or four pages per sponsor, so it's not that much. Am I correct?Comment

how long do you think this would take to see some sort of income if you used this method?
I was thinking of purchasing autogallery and setting up a tgp so that I could put my own galleries on there when I built them. Would this be a bad idea?Comment

i started doing that. I bought an expensive package from GTS. its only been a few days but the results are bad, no sales from it. But i have another 3+ weeks to go so hopefully it will get better.Originally posted by Lenny2I would take the profit you're making from gallery submissions and invest it into paid partner accounts.

Depends on how many sites you build over all the time that you're in this business.Originally posted by GillespieI already did your permalink suggestion. Thanks!

Either way you get search engine benefits from linking to your own page.sig too bigComment

As for the TGP thing, unless you're going to build a full blown TGP I'd probably stick with the blog format as the "hub" for listing all of my galleries.sig too bigComment

Do you think the full blown tgp thing is a good route for a newb to take?Originally posted by Lenny2It's been a long time since I've submitted galleries but I'd say you should start seeing some traffic and hopefully sales within a few weeks.

Ok, that happens.Originally posted by niceanicei started doing that. I bought an expensive package from GTS. its only been a few days but the results are bad, no sales from it. But i have another 3+ weeks to go so hopefully it will get better.
thanks
However I listed a very specific order in which to do things and that order is very important.
Alot of people get in this biz and just up and buy traffic from GTS or choker or whomever and then they fail and quit.
I said to submit, then buy paid partner accounts.
THEN, buy paid listings from the TGP's that are sending the most sales to your free listings.
That way, you already have proven templates and proven sponsors that are selling for you on those TGP's. Then you're just paying to get listed at the top of that TGP instead of towards the bottom.
When you buy traffic blind (unproven templates, unproven sponsors, TGP's that you've never been listed at before) then you really have no idea what your results are going to be.

No. TGP's take a long time to build up into money makers, I would do other things first and once you're making money, if you decide you want a TGP, start one on the side.Originally posted by joshman1204Do you think the full blown tgp thing is a good route for a newb to take?
you have a ref code for webair? I will signup under you since you were so generous here.
No refcode for webair. Just call 866-WEBAIR1 and ask for sales, they'll hook you up.

You might want to beef up the advertising a little bit once the traffic is flowing, but if you do it right every single post on the blog should be an advertisement, so you'll have all the advertising you need there.Originally posted by GillespieOne last thing: do you think the design is too clean to make any conversions once I start investing in targeted traffic?sig too bigComment

Ok that's 3 questions.Originally posted by tranzaWhat would you recommend someone just starting in this business do to make money?
What is your best traffic source? What is your biggest money maker?
1) I'd start with gallery submissions and a blog. Use the galleries you build as content for your blog. Then you can get traffic from all of the blog linklists and update services to your galleries and traffic from your galleries to your blog where you'll have other advertising besides just the sponsor on the gallery.
2) Not telling
