    Speaking of CONTESTS: Did that Dion fellow pay up or was he a SCAMMER???

    I assume he was a scammer, and I hope no one sent him any money for any prepaid deals.

    But on the off chance that he wasn't a scammer... did anyone win his $20,000? Or, $25,000, as he posted in the second thread??

    He hasn't posted since. Did anyone get his real name? Did it start with D and end with avid Foote???

                  What happened to all the guys who used to watch for and call out scammers? I remember with guys like Lenny2, Rich, and I think turbofinder was the guy who kept track of Foote, it used to be harder to run scams around here.

                  Lately GFY seems to be going un policed. This Dion guy should be banned, someone should have tracked down his real name, he should be getting a public ass raping. Instead, I think I'm the only guy who even noticed this attempt. I'm not good enough at this shit to do much alone. I'd bet that in 2-3 months, we're going to see a spike of "I got scammed by [x]" threads.

                  Are all the guys who used to bust scammers on another board now or what?

                                  Bump, is this board all sig whores now or what? There's potentially a major scammer in our midst, no one seems to care.

                                  What happened to this place? Two years ago this guy would have been eaten alive. Now people can run scams on GFY and no one notices? That's fucked. High sig prices have really ruined this place.

                                                  Two years ago there were plenty of scammers here who weren't getting caught too.

                                                          Honestly, I think people stopped calling people out for scams like this because nothing ever happens. GFY doesn't seem concerned with scammers and even the high profile ones can come back after a couple weeks off with a heartfelt post or some "bro" comments. I would argue that about 10-20% of the threads in the buy/sell forum are from scammers.

                                                          It's just fighting an uphill battle and not many people seem to care.
