Anyone playing Saint's Row on XBox 360?

I picked it up yesterday and it's pretty awesome. Out of all the Grand Theft Auto clones, this is rated the best. The graphics and gameplay are pretty good.

So far, the 360 has been a waste of money. There's not many games out and it doesn't really feel like it's "next-gen". This is the first game that made me feel a little better about spending the money on the console. I still can't wait for the PS3, though.

Anyway... just wanted to see what some of you thought about the game so far.

Grabbed it last night, I like the auto driver feature, but it's a pain in the ass if you pass your turn, so it's not such a great feature.

I love the 360, but it runs way too hot, either runs slow or locks up completely when it gets hot.

Mine is so loud... it sounds like a jet plane flying over my place. So far, I haven't had it lock up or freeze but I haven't logged in too many hours on it yet, either.

Never play Oblivion if that's the case, it'll draw you in and you'll have to say goodbye to your friends, your family, your business and it'll lock up pleanty

Edit: As for loud, holy hell is it loud!!

Prior to Saint's Row, I am really into Call of Duty 2. I get my ass handed to me online with the quickness, though. These freakin' kids nail me before I move 5 steps.

I also bought Dead Rising, but I don't care for it that much.

The first round of games for a new console never truly take advantage of their capabilities.. You have to wait for the second round to really see what it can do.

You should return it. I don't have any problems with lockups. Do you have one of the systems sold in 2005? I think there was some manufacturing problems with them.

Good point!

On a similar topic, I'm wondering what the 360's game line-up is going to be like. So far, it doesn't seem like many games are coming out for it. I'm in a buying mood but all the stuff I've been picking up lately (except a few) have been a miss.

I have a feeling that the industry is in a bit of a "hold" pattern. They probably aren't sure when PS3 will be released and it appears it's difficult to develop for... But we're in the tail end of Q3 so there should be some releases coming out in Sep and then usually the companies push for releases around US thanksgiving as that's when everyone starts buying for XMas.

Picked it up yesterday and its a fun game and I like that they got big named actors like Mark Walberg to do the voices of the main characters. I have never had a problem with the 360 locking up. I also dont notice the sound of the cd spinning being loud, maybe turn up your tv...lol. I enjoy all the new games as they are far beyond any other sytem to this date. If its not next gen for you, you might need to get high def system because the graphics are very crisp.

I do have hi def. I'm playing it on a 56" (or something close to that). The graphics are good... it's not that but I was thinking "next gen" would really knock my socks off. So far, the only game that looked like it had next gen graphics is Fight Night 3. That game is sick. The graphics are so good that when you punch someone in the face and they do that slow motion, I always let out a "ughhhh...." like I got hit.

In the magazines, the samples from the PS3 look pretty incredible. I'm curious to see how that measures up to the 360.
