Yep, means a sim from any provider will work in that phone... Otherwise, if you have say a Verizon phone, only Verizon sims will work in it.Comment

Yes, but see if you WANT to do that. When I bought my new phone the sim card had about 1.5 times more memory. It was worth it to write down a few names and numbers and put them into the new phone
