I know first hand. What they do is they go after people that are trying to become actors. Usually these are people that have extra work and maybe some commercial work. They can get people to do the show for almost free because these people want the experience on their resume and also are looking to 'Break Through'

I'm confident I could do it. It IS mind over matter, and when I set my mind to something, a few bugs ain't enough to derail me.

I was more surprised by the first round. Most of those supposedly "fit" contesttants wimped right out underwater and couldn't hold their breath for shit. And that happens a lot on that show, hard to beleive there are so many young people who have no game in the water.
