    Is this external hard drive any good? (PIC)

    I need to backup my computers people tell me that seagate is the best external on the market... but has anyone has experience with the one below?

          I find it cheaper to just buy a hard drive from newegg.com or some other random site on www.pricewatch.com and then get an external enclosure seperately.

          The pre-assembled external hard drives always seem to have much less storage capacity and higher prices than something I pop together myself in 30 seconds.

              I have a 300GB Maxtor for about 120$

              edit: hmm, I see this one is about the same price.. not bad then..

                  I thought of doing that... but they dont have cooling fans with the ones I found.
