Some of you may recall that he got a new bike and was going to Utah for a little spin. Guess it did not work out too well.
Since we aren't supposed to post links to other boards, I will cut and paste the info I found there:

MrPheer took a bad fall in Utah today,Is in hospital there having sugery for ruptured splean and broken bones.

MrPheer is out of critical condition and CONSIDERED IN STABLE CONDITION at 10 AM, Sunday, 8-13-06. He is still in ICU. (I neglected to ask what town or hospital Will is located in...sorry.)
MrPheer does have a ruptured spleen. Surgery for this was not done because he has stabilized--apparently the spleen is not bleeding much (if any) at this time.
MrPheer WAS WEARING HIS HELMET at the time of the crash. He does, however, have lots of facial cuts, a broken collar bone, and his front teeth are broken--his eyes are swollen shut today. It is difficult to understand how he could have so much facial/teeth damage with the kind of helmet that he wears (full face helmet).
MrPheer does have some short term memory loss at this time--he does not know who his wife is. The doctors say that this is not unusual due to the head injury which was sustained. It is very possible that this will resolve over time.
As far as what happened, from what Ricky can understand, MrPheer was riding between 2 packs of riders--Lisa was in the front group. There were only a couple of people in the rear group. From what we can gather, the rear riders did not witness what caused MrPheer to go down. There is speculation that, perhaps, an animal ran across the road or something "broke" on MrPheer's bike. There is no obvious evidence--according to Ricky--of any malfunction with Will's bike. There is evidence, however, of skid marks that run across 2 lanes. It appears that MrPheer locked up his rear brake which created these marks.
